I’m not familiar with WCCC, but that was a heartfelt and genuine good-bye. 40 years and 28 in the same format, it had something good going and you have to ask, why do the good ones have to end?
Was the female jock from a sister station or rival? If a rival that was nice to let her appear one last time on what was a top station for her in her career.
I can sense more love from this group than that of the new ownership/format…
