This second version of WSNI “Sunny 104.5″ was strictly a softer version of WOGL. (In other words, it was literally AC oldies. Soft rock oldies from the 60s to the 80s, to be exact.) The first incarnation of WSNI (“Sunny 104″/”104 and-a-half WSNI”/”Sunny 104.5″ [the latter the first time around]) was…well, it may or may not have been gold-based AC, but *its* AC format was somewhat if not considerably more mainstream in that it had current and recent soft rock hits in its playlist.
A site dedicated to format changes? Why not; what's more historic than when something begins or ends? The Format Change Archive is your home for airchecks of the beginnings and endings of some of the most historic radio stations (and some you may never have heard).
If you have an aircheck that you'd like to donate for exhibition here, send us an email with the details! We'll respond with detailed instructions on how to proceed.
